Donis White

Donis D. White died January 19, 2018.  She was born August 29, 1932, to Forrest and Lila Grooms, Vining, KS.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, James C, and brother Don. Survivors include a daughter, Cindy McAtee and husband Lew, of Ellsworth, a son, Mike and wife Kathy, of Salina, and daughter Barb Thompson and husband Jeff, of Rosamond, CA, two brothers, Lyle Komarek, of Seattle, WA, and Larry Komarek of Grand Island, NE., six grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.   Donis was a homemaker and along with her late husband Jim, an owner/operator of the Salina, KS KOA campground, and owner/operator of the White Christmas tree farm, Aurora.  She enjoyed gardening, sewing, needlework, bird-watching, and traveling.  She loved meeting new people and never met a stranger.   A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at a later date.
