DONNA SCHAFFNER, 94 died December 28, 2014 at Medicalodge in Clay Center, KS. She was born on February 24, 1920 in Springfield, OH. The daughter of Orva and Grace (Umpleby) Click.
Donna was raised in Ohio. She served in the US Navy during WWII. Donna graduated from Ohio State University and was an elementary education teacher in Ohio and St. Louis, MO. She married James Schaffner on March 15, 1947, he preceded her in death on January 16, 1981. She was a member of the Presbyterian churches whene she resided and served as an Elder and Sunday School teacher. Donna was also a member of the Normandy Retired Teacher's Assn., National World War II Museum, National Education Assn., was a thrift shop volunteer at John Knox Presbyterian Church, delivered Meals on Wheels and song leader for the Presbyterian Manor. She is preceded in death by husband James, parents and brothers, Richard, William and Lynn Click

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 2, 2015 at 3:00 PM at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home in Clay Center, KS
Officiating the service will be Gary Oetinger
Burial will be in the Bloom Cemetery, Clay County, KS
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 2, 2015 from 2:00 PM until service time at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home
