DOROTHY ELIZABETH EVANS died September 23, 2010 at Midland Hospice House,
Topeka, KS at the age of 94. She was born on June 9, 1916 in Manchester, Kansas the
daughter of Nicol and Mattie (Cook) Mustard. Dorothy graduated from Longford High School in
1934. She married Elmo Evans on September 17, 1936. They farmed in the Longford and Oak
Hill communities. Elmo preceded her in death on September 10, 2001. Dorothy moved to
Maple Hill in 2002. She was a member of the Presbyterian Women's Organization, Chapman
Valley EHU and the Maple Hill Quilters. Dorothy is also preceded in death by a daughter,
Joyce, a granddaughter, a step-grandson and 2 sisters.

Daughter: Louise Garst, Topeka, KS
Daughter: Janice and husband Robert Matteson, Maple Hill, KS
Grandchildren: 5 Grand, 15 Great-grand and 5 Great-great-grand
Sister: Helen Harold, Abilene, KS
Sister: Georgia Mustard, Enterprise, KS
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at 10:30 AM at the
Neill-Schwensen-Rook Chapel in Clay Center, Kansas.
Officiating the service will be Pastor Gil Gillispie.
Burial will be at the Rose Meron Cemetery, Clay County, Kansas.
Visitation will be held on 3-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home
