DOROTHY E. MARSHALL died January 24, 2009 at Aberdeen Village, Olathe, KS at the age of 98. She was born on May 6, 1910 in Clay County, Kansas the daughter of Samuel R. Tippin and Emma E. Sterrett. She was raised in Bloom Township in Cla yCounty. She taught at a country school. Dorothy married Orris Marshall on August 5, 1930. He preceded her in death on October 25, 1984. She was a member of the Clay Center United Methodist Church, Cornerstone Sunday School Class and United Methodist Women's Organization, South Hayes E.H.U., Pleasant Hour Club, Modern Arts Club and Past -President of McKinley PTA. She is also preceded by a son Keith, 2 brothers, Clyde and Waldo Tippin, and 4 sisters, Myrtle Tippin, Margaret Nemnich, Gertrude Tippin and Pearl Milligan. Survivors include: Son: Rev. Bruce and wife Janice Marshall, Spring Hill, KS Grandchildren: 8 Grandchildren and 3 Great-grandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2009 at 1:30 PM at the United Methodist Church in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Rev. Larry Myers. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on 10 AM - noon Thursday at the United Methodist Church Memorials can be made to Clay Center United Methodist Church, Clay Center Presbyterian Manor Good Samaritan Fund or Aberdeen Village Good Samaritan Fund c/o the funeral home
