Dorothy Ross

DOROTHY ROSS, 101 died January 12, 2014 at Medicalodge in Clay Center, KS. She was born on February 23, 1912 in Palmer, KS the daughter of Clarence and Louisa (Potter) Sheets. Dorothy graduated from Linn High School. She married George Ross and they farmed near the Palmer community. Dorothy also worked as a cook for Clay County Child Care for many years. George preceded her in death on September 15, 1971. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Clay Center. Dorothy is also preceded in death by a son, Robert, 2 sisters and a brother. Survivors: Son: Donald and wife Lucretia Ross, Davenport, FL Daughter in Law: Jane Ross, Washington, KS 6 Grandchildren and 17 Great- Grandchildren Graveside Services will be held on Friday, January 17, 2014 at 1:30 PM at the Parallel Cemetery in Washington County, KS Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2014 from 3-8 PM. The family will greet friends from 5-7 PM at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home Memorials: Dorothy Ross Memorial Fund to be designated later.
