Dorothy Tyrell

DOROTHY M. TYRELL, died September 18, 2015 at Medicalodge in Clay Center, Kansas . She was born on January 1, 1923 in Industry, Kansas, the daughter of Fred and Nettie (Iseli) Bletscher. Dorothy was raised in the Industry, Kansas area. She graduated from Chapman High School in 1941. She taught rural school for several years before marrying Donald L. Tyrell on July 9, 1943 and he preceded her on October 9, 2008. She was active in the FN Club in Wakefield for many years. Survivors: Son: Gailen and wife Mitzy Tyrell, Wakefield, Kansas Daughter: Donna and husband Jim Klein, Clay Center, Kansas Sister: Gladys Shivers, Clay Center, Kansas 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at 10:30am at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home in Clay Center, Kansas. Burial will be in the Greenridge Cemetery, Dickinson County, Kansas. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21, 2015 from 3:00 to 8:00 pm at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Meadowlark Hospice or the Sunnyslope School Restoration Fund.
