DOUGLAS A. KIEFFER, 69 died December 20, 2014 at Park Villa Nursing Home in Clyde, KS. He was born on July 23, 1945 in Clay Center, KS. The son of Anthony and Marguerite (Thompson) Kieffer. Douglas attended Spring Creek rural school and graduated from Linn High School in 1963. He served in the Kansas Army National Guard from 1965 until 1971. Doug married Eleanor Sorell in Clifton on September 3, 1966. To this union two daughters were born, Kimberley Dawn and Kristin Annette. Doug made his career in farming in the Clifton-Palmer area until his retirement in 2011. Doug enjoyed classic cars and owned several through the years. He was especially fond of his Chevy Impalas and would often enter them in cars shows and parades. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Clifton American Legion. He is preceded in death by parents. Survivors: Wife: Eleanor Kieffer, Clifton, KS Daughter Kimberley Kieffer and husband Troy Surprise, Shawnee, KS Daughter: Kristin and husband Ryan Oestrich, Clifton, KS Brother: Bruce and wife Betty Kieffer, Cawker City, KS Brother: Mark Kieffer, Wichita, KS Brother: Lyle and wife Glenda Kieffer, Minneapolis, KS Brother: Gregory and wife Deb Kieffer, El Dorado, KS Sister: Dorothy Lee, Clifton, KS Grandchildren: Trace Buttman, Ayden & Joely Oestreich Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the St Marys Catholic Church in Clifton, KS Officiating the service will be Fr. Larry Letourneau Burial will be in the St. Marys Cemetery, Clifton, KS Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 from 5-7 PM with rosary at 7 PM at Turner Funeral Chapel Memorials: Clifton Ambulance Service or St. Mary’s Cemetery Fund
