Doyle Rouse

DOYLE LEE ROUSE died September 8, 2009 at 621 Crawford, Clay Center, KS at the age of 81. He was born on January 29, 1928 in Clay County, KS the son of George Rouse and Edna Taylor. Doyle served in the US Navy during WWII. He married Iris Pettet on October 4, 1946. She survives of the home. He worked for Northern Natural Gas in Clifton for 34 years. Doyle was a member of the United Methodist Church of Clay Center and the American Legion both of Clifton. He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and a grandson. Survivors include: Wife: Iris Rouse, Clay Center, KS Son: Steve Rouse, Salina, KS Daughter: Janet and husband Brian Curtis, Halstead, KS Daughter: Sandy and husband Marvin Conner, Springfield, MO Grandchildren: 6 Grand and 9 Great-grand Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 11, 2009 at 10:30 Am at the United Methodist Church in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Rev. Larry Myers. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on 3-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home Memorials can be made to Clay County Hospital Foundation c/o the funeral home.
