DUANE ELSASSER, 88 died November 28, 2015 at Presbyterian Manor in Clay Center, KS. He was born on June 9, 1927 in Clay County, KS. The son of Herman and Sophia (Bletscher) Elsasser.
Butch was raised in Athlestane township. He attended Athlestane grade school and graduated from CCCHS. Butch married Carole Sanberg on May 20, 1951. They made their home and farmed in Athlestane township with his father and brother, Harold. He retired from farming due to a back injury and sold automobiles and farm machinery for Auld Chevrolet in Wakefield. In 1967, Butch received his insurance and securities license and worked for a Topeka based company. Later, he returned to the farm and operated a dairy until his retirement in 1993. Butch was member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church. He is preceded in death by his wife Carole on July 31, 2006, parents, a brother and a sister.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at 10:30 AM at the SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Clay Center, KS
Officiating the service will be The Rev. Randall Weber
Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, KS
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 from 3-7 PM with rosary at 7 PM. Family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM atNeill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home
