DUANE GERMANN died September 22, 2012 at Clay County Medical Center, Clay
Center, KS at the age of 81. He was born on October 21, 1930 in Clay County Kansas, the son
of Howard and Myrtle Mae (Suprenaut) Germann.
Duane was raised south of Clifton. He attended Mulberry and Riverdale schools and
graduated from CCCHS in 1948. Duane then attended Ottawa University and Kansas State
University. He married Dee Anderson on December 24, 1949. They farmed in Clay County,
west of Morganville. Duane also helped in the High School wood shop for several years. They
moved to Clay Center in 1988. Duane was a member of the Clay Center United Methodist
Church, Morganville COffee Club, Elks lodge and he was an avid hunter. He is preceded in
death by a son Randy and a brother Don.

Son: Mark and wife Jan Germann, Morganville, KS
Daughter: Nikki Carpenter, Olathe, KS
Brother: Ralph and wife Marilyn Germann, Garden City, KS
Brother: Ed and wife Janet Germann, Phoenix, AZ
Grandchildren: 7 Grand and 8 Great-grand
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at 10:30 AM at the United
Methodist Church in Clay Center, Kansas.
Officiating the service will be Rev Larry Myers.
Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas.
Visitation will be held on 3-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. The family will greet friends
from 5:30 to 7 PM
