Ed Schafer

Edwert L "Ed" Schafer, 81 died August 15, 2016 at Clay County Medical Center in Clay Center, KS. He was born on April 24, 1935 in Brantford, KS, the son of Herman and Amanda (Moormann) Schafer. Ed grew up in Clifton and graduated from Clifton High School in 1953. He served in the Army and worked for various construction companies. Ed owned and operated his foundation business until his retirement. He married Jackie on December 1, 1967, she preceded him in death on August 31, 2011. Ed was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church as well as the Clay Center American Legion. He was also preceded in death by his Parents, Daughter, Deb Straub, Brother, Daryl Schafer, Grandson, Cory West.
