EDITH M. HALL died August 24, 2009 at Leonardville Nursing Home, Leonardville, KS at the age of 102. She was born on June 25, 1907 in Washington County, Kansas the daughter of Robert McIntosh and Sarah Van Benthuysen. She was raised in the Linn and Palmer communities. Edith married Joseph Hall in 1926. She worked at the Clay Center Dispatch during WWII. Joseph preceded her in death in 1961. She graduated from Kansas State University and taught school in Oak Hill and Topeka. Edith was a member of the United Methodist Church, Daughters of the American Revolution, Order of Eastern Star, and Mother Advisor for the Rainbow Girls. She is also preceded by a brother, 3 sisters and a grandchild. Survivors include: Son: Jack and wife Carolyn Hall, Georgetown, TX Son: Jerry and wife Caroline Hall, Berlin, CT Daughter: Marnie Hall, New York City, NY Grandchildren: 5 Grand and many Great-grandchildren & many Great-great-grandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 28, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the Greenwood Cemetery in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Rev. Larry Myers. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on None Memorials can be made to Meadowlark Hospice c/o the funeral home
