EDWIN O. BROWNELL died May 10, 2008 at Clay County Medical Center, Clay Center, KS at the age of 73. He was born on August 4, 1934 in Concordia, Kansas the son of Arthur Brownell and Ernestine Smith. He graduated from Concordia High School. He married Alexine Pellant on December 11 1954. He served in the US Navy from 1954 to 1958. He worked in construction, building grain elevators and feed bins. He also worked for Wardcraft Homes and Mellies Products. He was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, VFW and served as Troop leader for Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. He is preceded in death by 2 brothers and 1 sister. Survivors include: Wife: Alexine Brownell, Clay Center, KS Son: Edwin A. and wife Laura Brownell, Salina, KS Son: Timothy and wife Emma Brownell, Clay Center, KS Daughter: Elizabeth and husband Steve Wohler, Clay Center, KS Daughter: Catherine Brownell, Salina, KS Son: Frank and wife Paula Brownell, Clifton, KS Brother: John and wife Alice Brownell, Concordia, KS Brother: Harry and wife Janice Brownell, Concordia, KS Sister: Nancy and husband Larry Green, Salina, KS Sister: Mary and husband Allen Rhoden, Fairbury, NE Sister: Mabel and husband Robert Carlson, Abilene, KS Sister: Edna Brownell, Junction City, KS Grandchildren: 13 Grand and 9 Great-grand. Funeral Services will be held on , May 14, 2008 at at the SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be The Rev. Loren Werth . Visitation will be held on 3-7 PM Tuesday at the funeral home with rosary being recited at 7PM. Memorials can be made to Edwin Brownell Memorial Fund to be designated later c/o the funeral home.
