Eileen Mary Ramsey

Eileen Mary Ramsey died January 6, 2009 at Clay County Medical Center, Clay Center, KS at the age of 93. Eileen was born on April 19, 1915 in New York City, NY the daughter of Mortimer Smythe and Mary Daly. She married Edwin Ramsey in 1943 at Pleasantville, New Jersey and he preceded her in death in 1954. The couple moved to Clay Center in 1946. Eileen worked briefly as a nurse and was a homemaker. She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, American Legion Auxiliary, and the V.F.W. Auxiliary. She was also preceded in death by a brother and a sister. Survivors include: Son: Tim Ramsey, Clay Center, KS Son: P. Michael Ramsey, Everglades City, FL Daughter: Mary Stern, Monument, CO Grandchildren: 3 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 12, 2009 at 10:30 AM at the SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Clay Center, Kansas . Officiating the service will be The Rev. Larry Grennan. A private family burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held on 2-4 PM Sunday at the funeral home with the Rosary being recited at 4 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Clay Center Leisure Center in care of the funeral home.
