Elaine Hinkle

Elaine Hinkle, 93, died November 5, 2019 in Clay Center, KS. She was born on August 9, 1926 in Navarre, KS, the daughter of George and Bertha (Hoffman) Rutz. Elaine was raised in Navarre and Chapman, graduating from Chapman High School. She taught school for a few years before marrying R. Duane Hinkle on January 1, 1946. They made their home in Kansas City, Abilene, and Junction City before moving to Clay Center. Elaine enjoyed gardening, playing cards, music, and teaching piano lessons. She was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a sister.

Graveside Services: Friday, November 22, 2019 at 11:00 AM in Greenwood Cemetery.
