Elizabeth Morlong

ELIZABETH MORLONG died November 4, 2008 at Leonardville Nursing Home, Leonardville, KS at the age of 96. She was born on December 8, 1911 in Leonardville Kansas, the daughter of Juergen Nanninga and Bertha Ziesset. She married Orrie Morlong on May 26, 1934. She earned a degree in teaching from Ft. Hays State University. She taught school for 29 years, the last 23 in Wakeeney, KS. She retired in 1972 and they moved to Clay Center. Orrie preceded her in death on May 17, 2000. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and Delta Kappa Gamma. She is also preceded by 6 sisters and 8 brothers. Survivors include: Son: Dr. O.R. and wife Joyce Morlong, Clay Center, KS Grandchildren: 2 Granddaughters & 3 Great-Grandchildren Private, family graveside services will be held. Officiating the service will be Rev. Larry Myers. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. There will be no visitation Memorials can be made to United Methodist Church c/o the funeral home
