Elizabeth Ward, 88, died Friday, August 24, 2018 at the LBJ Medical Center in Johnson City, Texas. She was born December 3, 1929, the daughter of Clarence and Lucille (McKenzie) Englund. Elizabeth grew up in the Brantford Community and in Clay Center. She graduated from CCCHS in 1947. Elizabeth married Dan Ward on June 2, 1972. She worked at the Clay County Courthouse after high school and then she worked as a legal secretary for Frank Oberg before moving to San Antonio. She and Dan moved back to Clay Center for 8 years, before moving back to the San Antonio area. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Marian Ahlberg.
