ELLEN B. GEORGE died September 17, 2010 at Mercy Health Center College Ave, Manhattan, KS at the age of 87. ELLEN B. GEORGE was born on October 12, 1922 in Limon, CO the daughter of George and Essie (Woolman) Beckner. She married Jack George on June 27, 1942 and he survives of the home. She was a beautician and worked as a Ward Clerk at the Clay County Hospital. They moved to Manhattan in 2001. She was a member of the Clay Center Christian Church, University Christian Church and the Priscillas Club. Survivors include: Husband: Jack George, Manhattan, KS Son: Robert George, Kansas City, MO Daughter: Carmal George, Manhattan, KS Daughter: Elizabeth Monks, Normal, IL Grandchildren: 8 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at 1:30pm at the Christian Church in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Doug Wallace. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 20 from 3-8pm at the funeal home. Memorials can be made to Manhattan Christian College, Cookson Hills or the Clay Center Christian Church.
