Elmer Voelker

ELMER WALTER ERNST VOELKER died November 25, 2010 at Linn Community Nursing Home, Linn, KS at the age of 90. He was born on December 16, 1919 in Palmer Kansas, the son of William and Marie (Tewes) Voelker. Elmer was raised and farmed in the Palmer community all of his life. He married Helen Moddelmog on June 29, 1941. She preceded him in death on December 1, 2005. Elmer also worked at Linn Enterprises for 5 years. He was a member of St John's Lutheran Church. He is also preceded by a brother, 2 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Survivors include: Son: Robert and Linda Voelker, Salsbury, NC Son: Richard and wife Charlotte Voelker, Palmer, KS Son: Howard and wife Mary Voelker, West Point, NE Son: Gary and wife Debbie Voelker, Linn, KS Daughter: Joyce Voelker, Greenleaf, KS Sister: Dorothy Voelker, Palmer, KS Grandchildren: 11 Grand and 11 Great-grand Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 29, 2010 at 10:30 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Palmer, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Gene Holtorf. Burial will be at the St. John's Cemetery, Palmer, Kansas. Visitation will be held on 4-7 Sunday at St. John's Lutheran Church Memorials can be made to St. John's Lutheran Church or Lutheran Hour c/o the funeral home
