Elmer Wohler

ELMER JEAN WOHLER died December 24, 2009 at 1112 5th St, Clay Center, KS at the age of 80. ELMER JEAN WOHLER was born on July 15, 1929 in Green, KS the son of Harold Wohler and Lillian Wichman. He graduated from CCCHS 1947. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. He married Sylvia Modean on September 5, 1954 and she survives of the home. He was owner/operator of the Wohler Geological Services. He was a member of the Association of Professional Geological Scientists, Society of Exploration Geophysicists and American Institute of Professional Geologists. Survivors include: Wife: Sylvia Wohler, Clay Center, KS Daughter: Lorene and husband Gary Osterhaus, Kansas City, MO Son: Jeb and companion Doug Secor Wohler, Zachary, LA Son: Brad Wohler, Ft. Collins, CO Sister: L'Jeanne and husband Herb Mugler, Clay Center, KS Sister: Zora and husband Melvin Anderson, Tescott, KS Grandchildren: 2 Grandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 10:30 AM at the United Methodist Church in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Rev. Larry Myers. Burial will be at the Swedish Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Clay County, Kansas. Visitation will be held on Monday December 28 from 3-8pm at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to Meadowlark Hospice, United Methodist Church or the Clay County Museum c/o funeral home.
