Elna Burger

ELNA E. BURGER, 84 died March 8, 2016 at the Clay County Medical Center in Clay Center, KS. She was born on July 13, 1931 in Clay Center, KS. The daughter of Arthur and Emilie (Herrs) Bott. Elna was raised in the Linn-Palmer area. She was baptized July 23, 1931 at St. John's Lutheran Church. Elna married William Burger on January 6, 1952 and the couple made their home in rural Palmer. Elna was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church and was a member of LWML. She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, and an infant brother. Survivors: Husband: William Burger, Palmer, KS Son: Jerrold Burger, Palmer, KS Daughter: Lynette and husband, Gary Abbott, Salina, KS Daughter: Julia and husband, Dwight Schwake, Roanoke, IL 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren Brother: Loren Bott, Linn, KS Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 10:00AM at the St John’s Lutheran Church in Palmer, KS Officiating the service will be The Rev. Jacob Sherry Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Palmer, KS Visitation will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016 from 5-7PM at St John’s Lutheran Church Memorials: may be made to Lutheran Hour or the church and can be sent in care of the funeral home.
