ELWOOD BRANFORT, 96 died February 25, 2008 at Clay County Medical Center, Clay Center, KS. He was born on July 30, 1911 in Clay County, KS the son of Ray and Jessie (Lamb) Branfort. Elwood was raised in the Green Community and graduated from Green High School in 1931. He married Ann Anderson on April 3, 1936. He owned and operated Home Oil until 1968. He also worked as an accountant for Copeland, Carlson and McMahan Accounting in Clay Center. Ann preceded him in death on August 4, 2007. He was amember of the Clay Center United Methodist Church where he served as a Trustee, 60 year member of the Masonic Lodge and served on the Green City Council and Green School board. He is also preceded by a sister.

Funeral Services: Thursday,February 28, 2008 at 10:30 AM at the United Methodist Church in Clay Center, Kansas.
Minister: Pastor Glenn Tombaugh
Burial: Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas.
Visitation:4-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. The family will greet friends from 5-7 PM
