EMMA MARTIN, 91, died May 15, 2008 at the Clay County Medical Center in Clay Center, Ks. She was born on August 15, 1916 in Clay County,Kansas the daughter of Fred and Martha (Nanninga) Leidig. She was raised in the Ebenezer Community in Clay County. She attended Clay County Community High School. She married Frederick Y. Martin on September 1, 1938. They lived on the Martin farm south of Clay Center until 1960. She moved with her husband to various Methodist Churches in Kansas. She returned to school and graduated from Jessamine County High School in Nicholasville, KY in 1963. Frederick preceded her in death on November 7, 1978. She is also preceded by a brother and a sister. She is survived by Son: Dr. Fred and wife Marti Martin, Ferguson, KY Daughter: Nancee Jo Martin, San Antonio, TX Daughter: Mary Martin, San Antonio, TX Daughter: Barbara Walton, San Antonio, TX Brother: Warren and wife Bernice Leidig, Clay Center, KS Sister: Arlene Comfort, Salina, KS 3 Grandchildren and 5 Great-grandchildren Funeral Services will be Monday,May 19, 2008 at 10:30 AM at Clay Center United Methodist Church, Clay Center, KS. Officiating the service will be Rev. Gerald Martin. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be 2-5 PM Sunday at the Funeral Home.
