Ernestine Sieverin

ERNESTINE SIEVERIN died June 1, 2012 at Presbyterian Manor, Clay Center, KS at the age of 96. She was born on February 15, 1916 in Clay Center Kansas, the daughter of Ernest and Gracie (Hall) Starkweather. Ernestine was raised in Clay Center and graduated from CCCHS. She married Marvin Sieverin on March 15, 1935. Ernestine worked for as a secretary for Dr. Shepard and for Bert Sorem Insurance. Marvin preceded her in death on April 10, 1988. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Ernestine is also preceded by a daughter, Kathe Turner. Survivors include: Son: Tony and wife Charlene (Von Fange) Sieverin, Marion, KS Son-In-Law: John and wife Deanna Turner, Jr., Clay Center, KS Brother: Lloyd and wife Virginia Starkweather, Clay Center, KS Sister: Betty Lou Meier, Arroyo Grande, CA Granddaughter: Dana and husband Bill Fuller, Portland, OR Granddaughter: Suzanne and husband Chris Little, Sumner, WA Great-Grandchildren: 5 Great-grandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Greenwood Cemetery in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Rev. Matthew Coleman. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on 9-10:30 AM Tuesday, at the funeral home Memorials can be made to Clay County Historical Society c/o the funeral home
