Ervin W. "Bill" Taddiken died January 9, 2009 at Presbyterian Manor, Clay Center, KS at the age of 92. Bill was born on June 20, 1916 in Clay County Kansas, the son of John Taddiken and Margaret Young.
He attended Washington Distrct #15 country school and graduated from Clay Center High School in 1934. He married Arlene Nelson on August 15, 1939 in Morganville and she preceded him in death June 24, 1998. They farmed in Clay County until retiring in 1981. They moved to Clay Center in 1986. Arlene preceded him in death on June 24, 1998. He was a member of the Morganville United Methodist Church, A.F. & A.M. Masons #134, Order of Eastern Star, Washington District 15 school board, COOP Elevator Board and Bloom Cemetery Board. He was also preceded in death by two great grandchildren and three sisters, Leona Carson, Alberta Murphy, and Esther Showe.

Daughter: Nancy and husband Terry Mitchell, Clay Center, KS
Daughter: Pat and husband Ronald Gilbert, Salina, KS
Brother: John Wilber and his wife, Marcene Taddiken, Clay Center, KS
Sister: Lavone McIntosh, Clay Center, KS
Grandchildren: 12 grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren
Brothers In-Law: Jean Showe and Wilbur Nelson
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at 10:30 AM at the Morganville United Methodist Church in Morganville, Kansas.
Officiating the service will be Pastor Gale Lund and Rev. Gerald Martin
Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas.
Visitation will be held on will be held from 3-8 PM Monday at the funeral home where the family will greet friends from 3-5 PM.
Memorials can be made to may be made to the Clay Center Presbyterian Manor Good Samaritan Fund in care of the funeral home.
