Esther Marcene Walker

Esther Marcene Walker, 90 died January 6, 2017. She was born April 5, 1926 to Newton and Mary (Woodhams) James. She married Don Walker on August 21, 1971, he preceded her in death on December 23, 1995.  Marcene was one of the first jailers in Clay County.  She also worked at the Jiffy Inn, Clay County Hospital and for Hutchinson Mayrath in the shipping department for many years. She was a member of the Emmanuel Independent Baptist Church. Marcene was also preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, 3 brothers, and a grand-daughter.
