Evelyn Lewis

EVELYN BELLE LEWIS died March 9, 2012 at her residence in Clay Center, KS at the age of 81. She was born on December 30, 1930 in Blandinsville, IL the daughter of George Wesley and Leota (Brookhart) Agee. Evelyn was raised in Gorin, MO and graduated from Gorin High School. She attended Northeast Missouri State Teacher's College and taught in a country school in northeast Missouri. Evelyn married William Lewis in April 15, 1951. She then worked as a library secretary in Lindbergh, MO in St. Louis county for 13 years. They moved to Clay Center in 1986. Evelyn was a member of the First Baptist Church and P.E.O. She is preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Agee. Survivors include: Husband: Bill Lewis, Clay Center, KS Daughter: Debbie and husband Dr Richard Reeves, Clay Center, KS Grandchildren: 3 Grandchildren and 3 Great-grandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at 10:30 AM at the First Baptist Church in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Rev. Matthew Coleman. Inurnment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas at a later date. Visitation will be held on 3-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home Memorials can be made to First Baptist Church c/o the funeral home
