Evelyn Mcdonald

EVELYN MCDONALD died July 5, 2010 at Presbyterian Manor, Clay Center, KS at the age of 90. She was born on May 21, 1920 in Arapahoe, NE the daughter of Harry Marshall and Mattie Morse. Evelyn graduated from CCCHS in 1938. She married John McDonald on August 24, 1940. She worked at Guest's, McCartney 5 and Dime, and at Sears, retiring in 1981. John preceded her in death on February 17, 2008. Evelyn was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and American Legion Auxillary, both of Clay Center. She is also preceded by a brother. Survivors include: Daughter: Joneen and husband Delbert Schoning, Olathe, KS Brother: Robert and wife Irene Marshall, Clay Center, KS Grandchildren: 3 Grand and 5 Great-grand Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 9, 2010 at 10:30 AM at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Chapel in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Rev. James Byers. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on 3-8 PM Thursday at the Funeral Home Memorials can be made to the Presbyterian Church, Presbyterian Manor or Meadowlark Hospice c/o the funeral home
