EZRA R. MORGAN, 83, died April 30, 2007 at James A. Haley Veterans Hosptial, Tampa, FL.
He was born June 3, 1923 in Laing Kanawha,West Virginia, the son of Ezra R.and Marian (Hayden) Morgan.
Ezra served in WWII as a radio operator and gunner on B-25s from 1943 until 1945, part of which time he was a P.O.W. in Germany. After WWII he attended Marion College in Marion, Indiana where he met Ailene Woodhams and they were married June 7, 1947. Ailene preceded him in death in 1992. Ezra later attended Asbury Theological Seminary where he earned a Bachelor's and Master's of Divinity degree and he attended the University of Kansas. He taught at Miltonvale Wesleyan College for six years. He was ordained in the Wesleyan Church and pastored at New Hope and Bethany Chapel Wesleyan Churches in Kansas. He also taught at Roberts Wesleyan College near Rochester, New York for 24 years until his retirement in 1982. He enjoyed Camping, Fishing, and Golf.
He is survived by his wife Virginia Morgan, of West Virginia.
Memorial Services will be held Sunday,May 6, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. at the Wesleyan Church in Clay Center, officiating will be Pastor Phil Harris
A private interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Clay Center, Kansas.
