H. FLORENE JAMES, 79 died July 2, 2014 at Presbyterian Manor in Clay Center, KS. She was born on March 21, 1935 in Springfield, CO, the daughter of Frank and Flora (Cox) Snell.
Florene was raised in Stanton County, KS. She graduated from Johnson City High School in 1952. Florene attended Dodge City Junior College and Kansas State teachers College in Emporia. She married Milo James on June 8, 1957. They made their home in Blaine township in Clay County. Florene taught in one and two room county schools, at Green and McKinley schools and taught high level Special Education. Milo preceded her in death on April 10, 2014. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Kansas State Teachers Assn. She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother and son, Tom James

4 Grandchildren and 6 Great-grandchildren
Daughter in Law: Cindy James, Clay Center, KS
Memorial Services for Milo and Florene will be held on Sunday, July 6, 2014 at 3:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church in Clay Center, KS
Officiating the service will be Pastor Scott Lingle
Inurnment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, KS at a later date
