Frances Marie Anderson

FRANCES MARIE ANDERSON died June 28, 2010 at Medicalodge, Clay Center, KS at the age of 93. Frances was born on August 28, 1916 in Clay County Kansas, the daughter of Hans Christian and Stella (Gooch) Olsen. Frances was born and raised in Clay County. She taught at a country school before marrying Harold Anderson on May 20, 1942. Frances earned a degree in Elementary Education from Kansas State University and taught for USD 379 for 32 years retiring in 1981. Harold preceded her in death on January 6, 2003. She was a life time member of Hayes United Methodist Church and later transferred to the Clay Center United Methodist Church. Frances is also preceded by 2 sisters and 1 brother and 1 granddaughter. Survivors include: Son: Steven and wife Reta Anderson, Clay Center, KS Daughter: Sheryl and husband Phil Tatum, Bonne Terre, MO Son: Scott and wife Lisa Anderson, Clay Center, KS Granddaughter: Vicki and husband Mike Williams, Bonne Terre, MO Granddaughter: Celeste and husband Chris Garcia, Winston Salem, NC Granddaughter: Jamie and husband Caleb Bloom, Clay Center, KS Granddaughter: Jolie and husband Phil Kasper, Clay Center, KS Granddaughter: Alicia and husband Todd Weir, Clay Center, KS 10 Great grandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 2, 2010 at 10:30 AM at the United Methodist Church in Clay Center, Kansas. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 1st from 3:00 to 8:00pm at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to Dexter Park Playground in care of the funeral home.
