FRANCIS “Fran” EVERY died February 4, 2010 at Via Christi St Francis, Wichita, KS at the age of 62. Fran was born on May 12, 1947 in Union, New York the son of Walter and Mine (Brewer) Every. He was raised and graduated from high school in New York. He served in the US Navy aboard submarines. Francis attended electricians school in Endicott, NY before moving to Clay Center. He worked at Wardcraft Homes, Gilmore Tatge, for Chuck Gurney and spent 34 years with the City of Clay Center at the light plant. Francis married Carol Petersen on January 30, 1978, she survives of the home. He was a member of the American Legion, American Radio Relay Club, Republican Valley Amateur Radio Club, Voice of Idaho Amateur Radio Club and the Eagles Club in Manhattan and active in the Toys for Tots Parade. Francis was Santa Clause in Clay Center for many years. Survivors include: Wife: Carol Every, Clay Center, KS Son: David Every, Clay Center, KS Daughter: Crystal and husband Robert Slack, Clay Center, KS Brother: Owen Listovitch, Hubbardston, MA 3 Grandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Paul Tessaro. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, KS. Visitation will be held on The family will greet friends from 10:00 AM until service time at the church Memorials can be made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice c/o the funeral home
