Francis Payne

Francis C. Payne, 78, died Friday, June 15 2012 at Peabody Kan. Mr. Payne was born on a farm near Clyde on Sept. 3 1933. He graduated from Clyde High School in 1951 and from The University of Wichita in 1960 with a BBA degree. He owned and operated Payne Oil Co. at Wichita. After moving to Peabody, he owned and operated Peabody Hardware Store until retirement. He is survived by: Wife: Marilyn (Crawford) Payne of Peabody, KS Son:, Steve Payne of Denver, CO Son: Raughnsen Payne (Holly) of Gerry, N.Y. Daughter: Callyn Worcester of Goddard, KS Daughter: Krishyn (Tim) Caldwell of Peabody, KS Seven grandchildren Brother: Larry (Beverly) Payne of Loveland, CO Inurnment servicewill be held at 4:00 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center KS.
