FRANKLIN SCOTT BUCKNER died May 22, 2012 at his residence in Clay Center, KS at the age of 68. He was born on May 14, 1944 in Sandy Hook, Kentucky the son of Ollie Buckner and Nora Smith. Franklin grew up and attended schools in Kentucky. After serving in the U.S. Army, Franklin worked as a truck driver for Key Milling and Keim Trucking. Franklin married Patsy Rose in 1965, they later divorced and she preceded him in death in 1984. He married Karen DePew in 1983 and they later divorced. He married Corrina Hiebert in 2005 and she preceded him in death in 2009. He was a member of the Clay Center Eagles Lodge and the Clay Center American Legion. Franklin was also preceded in death by 4 sisters, Evelyn Wren, Brenda Conley, Wanda Huffine, and Cleo Skaggs, 2 brothers, Ollie and Robert Buckner, and 2 grandchildren. Survivors include: Daughter: Michelle and husband, Mark Rummel, Clay Center, KS Son: Duane Buckner, Clay Center, KS Daughter: Melinda and husband, Izzy Barela, Clay Center, KS Son: Franklin Scott, JR and wife, Darlene Buckner, Mobile, AL Daughter: Jody Morley, West Memphis, AR Grandchildren: 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandson Sister: Mary Stansberry, New Bloomington, OH Private, family services will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation. Memorials can be made to may be made to Meadowlark Hospice and can be sent in care of the funeral home.
