FRED F. KISSINGER died December 22, 2012 at Leonardville Nursing Home,
Leonardville, KS at the age of 79. Fred was born on January 6, 1933 in Hiawatha, KS the son of
Ted and Pearl (Kessler) Kissinger.
Fred joined the Army in 1940 and entered flight school. He flew fixed wing aircraft and
helicopters. He was in the Air National Guard in Topeka, Phoenix, and other locations. During
his lifetime, Fred had a variety of careers including corporate pilot, owner/operator of a food
processing plant, and he flew fixed wing aircraft and helicopters for a number of companies.
These various careers took Fred throughout the world. Fred retired in 1993 and made his home
in Clay Center, KS. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Pearl Kissinger and his
sister, Wilma Jean Smith.

Son: Jan and wife Kris Kissinger, Clay Center, KS
Daughter: Cindy Farris, St. Louis, MO
Daughter: Julie Burg, Louisburg, KS
6 Grandchildren & 1 Great Grandchild
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 10:00AM at the
Neill-Schwensen-Rook Chapel in Clay Center, Kansas.
Officiating the service will be Larry Wallace Jr.
Inurnment will be held at 2:30PM in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Hiawatha, Kansas.
Visitation will be held on 3-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Gary Warren Memorial Fund to benefit youth hunting and fishing
and can be sent in care of the funeral home.
