Gary Begnoche

?GARY M. BEGNOCHE died January 7, 2010 in New Cambria, KS at the age of 64. He was born on February 20, 1945 in Miltonvale Kansas, the son of Martin and Lorette (Trahan) Begnoche. He attended Ft. Hays State and graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Agriculture Engineering. He worked at the Soil Conservation Service for the Manhattan Area Office and the Manhattan Field Office. He served in the US Navy aboard the USS Iwo Jima. He married Ellen Smith on September 2, 1972. To this marriage was born three children, Lance, Robyn and Stacey. He returned to S.C.S in 1972 working in Winfield, El Dorado and Frankfort. He transferred to Dodge City in 1979, working as the Area Engineer. In 2001 he transferred to the Salina Office where he was promoted to Agriculture Engineer and worked until his retirement in 2006. He is preceded in death by his father. Survivors include: Daughters: Robyn Begnoche, Salina, KS Stacey Owen, Concordia, KS Sister: Martina Dulohery, Longford, KS Brother: Mark Begnoche, Concordia, KS 4 Grandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Wesleyan Church in Miltonvale, Kansas Officiating the service will be Father Larry Grennan. Burial will be at the Miltonvale Cemetery, Miltonvale, Kansas. Visitation will be held on 4-8 PM at Phelps Funeral Home in Miltonvale Memorials can be made to Gary and Ellen Begnoche memorial fund to be designated later
