Gary E. Harris formally of Sacramento, CA, and long-time resident of Clay Center, K.S. entered into heaven on September 21, 2020. He was greeted in heaven by the love of his life, his wife, Kathryn (Lavine) Harris of 44 years; his parents James and Rita Harris, four brothers, Clyde, Roy, Ron, and Larry Harris, three sisters, Carol, Donna Ray, and Sherry, and a grandson, Dylan Dellabough who proceeded him in death.

Gary is survived by his brother Richard Harris and his wife, Debra Harris of Idaho.

Two daughters, Tammy Standridge-Rivard and her husband Daniel Rivard of Newport, NH and Chandra Harris of Manhattan, KS

He is also survived by 8 (eight) grandchildren:

Terry Standridge of Springfield, MO

Cody Dellabough of Ruston, LA

Ashley Bradford of Clay Center, KS

Rayanna Bradford of Manhattan, KS

Alexis Richards of Laconia, NH

Nakiah Harris of Junction City, KS

Javon Harris and Nevaeh Grier of Manhattan, KS

And 3 (three) great grandchildren:

Stacy Roetto of Manhattan, KS

Zuriah and Kathryn Harris of Clay Center, KS

Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Gary was a member of the United States Army. After his military service, Gary started his own business as a jack of all trade’s handyman. Gary was known for his ability to do a little bit of anything. He did everything from painting to repairing vehicles. Gary and Kathy moved their family to Ogden, KS in 1989.

Gary was known for his kind, loving spirit, and loyalty to family & friends. He was a member of the American Legion and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Gary loved camping and fishing and spending time with family and friends. He served our country, his family, and his friends.

Memorial Services: Saturday, October 10, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Utility Park & Zoo S. 4 th Street and Pomeroy Street, Clay Center, KS

Memorials:  in lieu of flowers, contributions to help offset funeral expenses c/o the funeral home
