Genevieve Virginia Adeline died April 11 th , 2022 at Northshore Health and Rehab Center, of Loveland, Colorado.    Genevieve was born on June 15 th , 1926 to Joseph and Antoinette (Bombardier) Frigon in rural Clay County, Kansas.   She was the fourth child of six:  Armond, Bernard, Ernest, Joan, and Leo Roy.

For the majority of her life, she made her home in the Oak Hill community of Clay County with her husband, Leonard Wayne McIntosh, whom she married on June 25 th of 1945, where they farmed in both Ottawa and Clay Counties.

Together they had four children, Patricia Joan McIntosh Ploegsma, (Colorado Springs, CO),  Sherlyn Kaye McIntosh Sampson, (Loveland, CO), David Wayne McIntosh, (Colorado Springs, CO), and Daniel Len McIntosh, (Oak Hill, KS).  She lived out the last years of her life in Colorado.

Genevieve graduated from Clay Center Community High School in the class of 1944.  She was extremely active in the Oak Hill community and in the Oak Hill Presbyterian Church.  She was a leader of the Sturdy Oak 4H club, a long standing member of the Rebekah Lodge, the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Oak Hill Home Demonstration Unit.

She was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, a church elder, 4H club leader, square dance instructor, farm wife, dairy maid, seamstress, fabric consultant, baker, and a farm product entrepreneur selling watermelons, sweet corn, chicken fryers, milk and cream. In later years she and Leonard were drivers/deliverers for El Dorado Bus Corp of Minneapolis, KS.

Genevieve was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Leonard, 3 brothers and one sister, and her son, Daniel Len McIntosh and his stepson, Tyler Jordan Pendergast.

She is survived by her brother, Bernie of Arizona who is 100, 3 children and their spouses, 9 grandchildren, and their spouses, and 10 great-grand children.

Visitation will be 4-7 PM Sunday, April 24, 2022, at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home

Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM Monday April 25, 2022, at the Oak Hill Presbyterian Church, Oak Hill, KS

Burial will follow at Rose Meron Cemetery at Oak Hill, Kansas

Memorial contributions to the Oak Hill Presbyterian Church c/o the funeral home
