George "Les" Mitchell

Les was born on March 27, 1957 in Clay Center, KS., the son of George, Jr. and Ellen (Bousey) Mitchell. He grew up in Clay County and graduated from CCCHS in 1975. Les worked in Kansas and Minnesota as a machinist, welder and carpenter. He also dabbled in a couple of ventures to include a restaurant and a fish farm. Les was well known for his hand-built smokers/cookers and wood stoves. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Barbara Blevins.
