George Wells

GEORGE A. WELLS, 47 died September 28, 2007 at Clay County Medical Center, Clay Center, KS. He was born on March 18, 1960 in Greenwood, MS the son of Earl and Nancy (Rodgers) Wells. He was raised in northern Maine. He served as a high pressure pump mechanic in the US Navy for six years following high school. He married Barbara St. Peter in 1979, they later divorced. He moved to Kansas in 1995. He worked for Hutchison-Mayrath and was currently employed by the city of Manhattan. He married Gloria Gust on April 30, 2005, she survives of the home. He attended St. Paul Lutheran Church and was active in Habitat for Humanity. Survivors include: Wife: Gloria Wells, Clay Center, KS Daughter: Keri and husband Martin Wells-Pucket, Augusta, ME Daughter: Amanda Wells, Boston, MA Daughter: Jamie Wells, Brooklyn, NY Daughter: Mariah Gust, Clay Center, KS Father: Earl Wells, Clay Center, KS Sister: Sheila Haley, Clay Center, KS Brother: Kenneth and wife Barbara Wells, Manhattan, KS Sister: Wanda and husband Jim Sullivan, Rineyville, KY A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at 3:00 PM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Paul Tessaro. Visitation will be held on 3-8 PM Monday at the funeral home Memorials can be made to Habitat for Humanity or Clay County Hospital Foundation c/o the funeral home
