George White

GEORGE C. WHITE died November 13, 2012 at his residence in Wakefield, KS at the age of 84. He was born on January 14, 1928 in Red Rock, OK the son of James and Hattie (Quinette) White. George married Viola Mann in 1949 in Council Grove. They made their home in the Wakefield community. George worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for 42 1/2 years. He also worked for several farmers in the Wakefield area. Viola preceded him in death in 2010. George is also preceded in death by 2 daughters, 3 brothers, 5 sisters and a grandson. Survivors include: Son: Joe and wife Nancy White, Wakefield, KS Son: James and wife Marie White, Concordia, KS Daughter: Betty White, Concordia, KS Daughter: Viola and husband Mike Kasarda, Fayetteville, NC Grandchildren: Many grandchildren and greatgrandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Skiddy Cemetery in Skiddy, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Rev. Todd Britt. Burial will be at the Skiddy Cemetery, Skiddy , KS. Visitation will be held on Friday from 5-7 PM at the Wakefield Funeral Home.
