GEORGIA BELLE BARNES died September 23, 2011 at Clay County Medical Center, Clay Center, KS at the age of 84. GEORGIA BARNES was born on November 6, 1926 in Clay County Kansas, the daughter of Carlos and Rose (Bowmaker) Knox. Georgia was raised in the Clifton community and attended Parallel country school. She married Dale Barnes on January 18, 1946, he survives of the home. Georgia was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the church Altar Society. She is preceded in death by a son, Michael, sister, Ima Brown and granddaughter, Teresa Barnes Survivors include: Husband: Dale Barnes, Clifton, KS Son: Dennis and wife Dixie Barnes, Clyde, KS Son: Jim Barnes, Clifton, KS Son: Jeff Barnes, Clifton, KS Son: Greg and wife Deneen Barnes, Clifton, KS Son: Alan Barnes, Clifton, KS Daughter: Janet and husband Kevin Schurle, Clay Center, KS Daughter: Linda and husband Tony Tuberville, Mayfield, KS Daughter: Angela and husband William Cyphers, Clifton, KS Daughter: LuAnn and husband Brian Johns, Minneapolis, KS Daughter in Law: Deborah Barnes, Downs, KS Sister: Shirley Marshall, Clifton, KS Sister: Lana Carlson, Morganville, KS Sister: Rama Sorell, Winfield, KS Brother: Bruce Knox, Clifton, KS Brother: Darwin Knox, Clifton, KS Brother: Ronnie Knox Edmond, OK 34 Grandchildren, 42 Great-grandchildren & 2 Great-great-grandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Monday, September 26, 2011 at 10:30 AM at the St. Marys Catholic Church in Clifton, Kansas. Officiating the service will be The Rev. Larry Letourneau. Burial will be at the St. Mary's Cemetery, Clifton, Kansas. Visitation will be held on Sunday 5-7 PM At Turner Funeral Home with rosary recited at 7PM Memorials can be made to Teresa Barnes Memorial Scholarship Fund
