GERALD "MURPH" A. MURPHY, 80 died December 28, 2014 at Geary Community Hospital in Junction City, KS. He was born on March 12, 1934 in Natoma, KS. The son of Charles and Laura (Winder) Murphy.
Gerald grew up in Natoma and graduated from Covert High School as class valedictorian. He married Anna Trobaugh on June 21, 1980 and she survives of the home. He worked for United Telephone and Sprint as a cable splicer and lineman until his retirement. He was a member of the Communications Workers of America. He is preceded in death by brothers, Stanley Murphy, infant brother and a great granddaughter, Serena.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 2 at 11:00am at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home.
Officiating the service will be Pastor Jim Cringan
Burial will be in the Uniondale Cemetery, Clay County, KS
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 1 from 3-5pm at the funeral home.
