Gerrie Swedberg

GERALDINE "GERRIE" SWEDBERG died February 28, 2008 at Medicalodge, Clay Center, KS at the age of 84. GERRIE was born on June 12, 1923 in Idana Kansas, the daughter of George Miller and Mabel E. Gonser. She attended the Idana Grade School and graduated from the Clay Center High School. She married Verline Swedberg in 1948 and he preceded her on May 28, 1978. She worked with her father at the Idana Grocier Store and later worked at the Craig and McCartney Store, J.C. Penny and then was the secretary for Clay Center Public Utitlites. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Idana, American Legion Auxillary and the VFW Auxillary. She also preceded by a brother, Keith Prine and Sister Janice Black. Survivors include: Brother-In-Law: Charles Black, Clay Center, KS Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 3, 2008 at 10:30 AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Idana, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Rev. James Byers. Burial will be at the Idana Cemetery, Idana, Kansas. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2 from 2-5 pm at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to Alzheimers Association or the Idana First Presbyterian Church c/o funeral home.
