Gladys Devore

GLADYS MARIE DEVORE died March 30, 2012 at Mercy Regional Health Center, Manhattan, KS at the age of 92. She was born on January 25, 1920 in Clay Center Kansas, the daughter of John and Alma (Pomeranz) Sebring. Gladys married Ernest DeVore on September 17, 1939 and he preceded her in death on January 14, 1995. She was a cook at Farm House fraternity at Kansas State University retiring in 1991. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and American Legion Auxiliary, all of Clay Center. She was also preceded by 2 sons, John and Garry Devore, one brother and one grandson. Survivors include: Son: Bruce and wife Deborah DeVore, Olney Springs, CO Brother: Clinton Sebring, Lake Lillian, MN 4 Grandchildren and 10 Great-grandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the United Methodist Church in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Rev. Larry Myers. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 2nd from 3:00 to 8:00pm at the funeral home Memorials can be made to American Legion Auxiliary or Clay Center United Methodist Church c/o the funeral home
