Gladys Kathleen Kahrs died June 9, 2008 at Mercy Health Center College Ave, Manhattan, KS at the age of 84. Gladys was born on November 12, 1923 in Bowman, North Dakota the daughter of Walton and Kathleen (Moore) Thune.
Gladys was raised and attended schools in South Dakota. She married Lawrence Kahrs on April 4, 1943. He preceded her in death on October 1, 1992. She worked as a receptionist and aide for a doctor in Clifton. She also cleaned at the Mother House in Concordia and was a dishwasher at BIG T Cafe. She was a member of the Swedesburg Lutheran Church and Daughters of the American Revolution. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Phyllis Palczewski and Peggy Brown and one grandson.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at 10:30 AM at the Swedesburg First Lutheran Church in Clay County, Kansas.
Officiating the service will be Pastor Melba Smith.
Burial will be at the Swedesburg First Lutheran Cemetery, Clay County, Kansas.
Visitation will be held on 5-7 PM Friday, June 13, 2008 at the Turner Funeral Home, Clifton, KS.
Memorials can be made to may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
