Gladys Young

GLADYS I. YOUNG, 94, died July 1, 2007 at Mercy Health Center, College Ave, Manhattan, KS. She was born January 30, 1913 in Green,KS, the daughter of Robert and Elizabeth (Evans)Moore. Gladys was raised in the Green, Kansas area. She operated a hat shop and hair salon in Clay Center, Kansas for several years. She married Merle "Bud" Young on August 3, 1946 and they made their home in Morganville, Kansas until moving to Clay Center, Kansas in 1972. He preceded her on May 16, 1997. She was a member of the Morganville United Methodist Church and the Clay Center American Legion Auxillary. She was also preceded by 3 brothers and 1 sister.
