Glenda Mae Kirby

GLENDA MAE KIRBY died August 8, 2010 at Manor Care, Topeka, KS at the age of 68. Glenda was born on August 17, 1941 in Oak Hill Kansas, the daugter of Oren and Verda (Lloyd) Todd . Glenda was raised in Oak Hill and graduated from CCCHS in 1959. She worked for Walgreens and made her home in Ohio. She married Davis Kirby on August 7, 1961. They moved to Topeka in 1972. Glenda worked as a clerk at Shaffer and Grimes Durg Store. Davis preceded her in death on December 31, 2006. She is also preceded by a daughter, Kathleen, a brother and a sister. Survivors include: Son: Greg and wife Linda Kirby, Topeka, KS Sister: Shirley Cazeault, Topeka, KS Grandchildren: 3 Grand and 9 Great-Grand Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the Clay Center Wesleyan Church in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Rob Stewart. Burial will be at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Clay County, Kansas. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 11th from 3:00 to 8:00pm. The family will receive friends from 6-8PM. Memorials can be made to Clay Center Animal Shelter.
