Gloria Ann Beck

GLORIA ANN BECK died September 22, 2008 at Clay County Medical Center, Clay Center, KS at the age of 73. GLORIA ANN BECK was born on November 12, 1934 in Strong City KS, the daughter of Emmett Chester Roberts and Clara Marie Seubert. She was raised in the Chase Co., KS area. She graduated from Emporia State Teachers College and taught in Cottonwood Falls, Waterville and moved to Clay Center in 1957 and taught until she retired in 1993. She married Joseph E. Beck on December 6, 1952 in Emporia and he survives of the home. She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church and past member of The Library Board in Clay Center. She is preceded by 4 brothers and 1 sister. Survivors include: Husband: Joe E. Beck, Clay Center, KS Son: Joe R. and wife Joyce Beck, Clay Center, KS Daughter: Melissa and husband Carl Bowerman, Yukon, OK Grandchildren: 4 Grandchldren Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at 10:30 AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Paul Tessaro. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Septmeber 23 from 3-8pm at the funeral home.
