Goldie Blevins was born August 8, 1928 in Clay Center, the daughter of James and Daisy (Bidwell) Benjamin. Goldie Grew up and attended school in Clay Center. She married Alvin Blevins on December 7, 1946. They lived in Missouri and Nebraska before moving back to Clay Center in 1961. Goldie was a bookkeeper for Alvin’s business, Alvin Blevins Excavating. She also worked for Cedar Court and Sunrise Motel for 15 years. Alvin preceded her in death on April 5, 2006. She is also preceded in death by her parents, son, Jeffrey Blevins, brother, Bill Ingram and daughter in law Barbara Blevins. Survivors: Son: Steve Blevins, Clay Center, Kansas Grandchildren: 2 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild Sister: Inez Sessum, Manhattan, Kansas Sister: Wilma Morrow, Lexington, Ohio Sister: Phyllis Wood, Cedar Rapids, IowaSister: Hazel Speltz, Clay Center, KS There will be no visitation. Private family inurnment services will be held at a later date. Memorials: may be made to the Goldie Blevins Memorial Fund c/o the funeral home.
